Welcoming Stacey, our new Human Resources Manager

We’re happy to announce that we’ve recently hired Stacey Boatman, our long-standing HR consultant, to be an official part of the Omnisis team.

What were you doing before you joined Omnisis?

I’ve been working alongside Omnisis as a freelance consultant for the past 6 years and am excited to have recently come on board as a member of the team.

Before then, I worked in HR within multinational corporations. I originally wanted to be a lawyer but I fell into HR through an office admin job I was doing and I found myself falling in love with it from there. I enjoyed working in some amazing locations, but having my children shifted my priorities.

In 2018, I was encouraged to go freelance by several acquaintances who were asking for HR help.  As a new mum, I didn’t want to be travelling so much for work so it felt like the perfect time to try something new.

If you were stuck on a desert island and you could bring three people to join you, dead or alive, real or fictional, who would you pick?

I would pick my children because I can’t imagine life without them and they always make me laugh.  The third person would be the Genie from Aladdin – three wishes, lots of laughs, a guaranteed ticket off the island, and a chance to converse with the brilliant Robin Williams.

Describe your ideal weekend

My ideal weekend is going to the beach with my dog and children – letting the dog off the lead and seeing all three of them enjoying themselves together is very cathartic. Seeing as it’s my ideal weekend, I don’t want to be cooking! So I’d go for a hearty lunch somewhere and come back home, put the fire on and watch a nice film. That sounds like heaven to me.

Favourite film, book and podcast?

My favourite film is Guys n Dolls, I don’t know why, I’ve just always loved it. I’ve recently finished Where The Crawdads Sing and it has to be one of the best books I’ve read this year, alongside the book You Don’t Have to Be Mad To Work Here, which is very insightful. I don’t get to listen to podcasts much, but when I do I enjoy Parenting Hell and The Buckleys because they’re so funny and relatable.

And lastly, what’s your favourite place that you’ve travelled to?

I was lucky enough to travel with my husband before we had children. One of my favourite trips was driving ourselves across America – it was spontaneous and felt like a real sense of adventure. We travelled as a family around  Italy this year and one of my favourite spots has to be a really small town called Luca. It was absolutely stunning – so full of character and history. It’s not too far from Pisa and we all had such an amazing time.
